Our 4th graders had an exciting field trip to the Salem Cemetery! They searched for plants and animals native to Utah, practiced subtraction and word work, paid their respects to veterans, and even found some family connections along the way. It was a special day of learning.

1st grade had Red Butte Gardens came and taught a science lesson on the Desert habitat and the plants found in it. They got to be scientists. They made some predictions about which plants would be able to survive in the desert landscape, used a magnifying glass to take a closer look and make observations, and used a tool to measure the thickness of the leaves. It was a fun hands-on experience that students won't soon forget.

Today first grade had RedButte Gardens come and talk to us about predictions, plants and the desert.

Our second graders had so much fun yesterday with our visitors from Hogle Zoo! Our students got to explore and learn so many new things!
